I should start off by sharing that "A healthy ELF" came from my initials being ELF :) Elisabeth Linda Flood.
Elf workouts was founded on a mission to help women get and feel strong, stay fit and be healthy.
To create workouts that are fun and exciting but consistent enough to facilitate progress.
I was born in Oslo, Norway in 1988. My health journey started when we moved to the United States at the age of 10. My mom started working for a Chiropractor. Although, I didn't know it at the time, as I struggled guzzling down a mixture of garlic and onion "tea" to treat my 102 fever, the health seed had been planted. Life is a journey and things come and go. While my health has done a complete 180, I continue to grow and seek out knowledge in anything health and fitness related. I love to experiment and read all the latest health and fitness books.
I have tried the diets (SAD, keto, paleo, plant based, etc...) I've worked with a variety of professionals (main stream doctor, allergist, chiropractor, acupuncturist, functional medicine doctor, personal trainer, etc...) I am not a creature of habit and therefore I am always trying something new. However, I found a balance between working out, eating healthy and enjoying some sweets every now and then. Chocolate is my sweet of choice.
If I've learned anything over the past couple years, it is that everyone is different and different things work for different people. Paleo works for some, while plant based works for others. Do what makes you feel good and what works for you! I believe we can also learn from each other and if not at the very least, share and listen to one another.
My goal is to guide you, but it is your adventure! To be completely honest, I just get really excited when I find something I love and can share it with others. Let's find things we have in common as I love getting to know people and their story!
